Under the Humanitarian and Compassionate Grounds, a potential applicant must be able to demonstrate the hardships that he or she would endure on returning to their home country. Whereas these grounds are incredibly complicated to prove, the Humanitarian and Compassionate considerations are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
